The Dillard University Concert Choir will host its Annual Spring Concert on Sunday, April 28, at 3 p.m. The concert will be held at Bethany United Methodist Church at 4533 Mendez Street, where Rev. Eugene Boger is pastor.
The choir will feature more than 35 voices from cities across the United States, the Dillard University Female Ensemble, the Dillard University Male Quartet, and duets and solos.
The Dillard University Concert Choir will perform its signature selections, such as Roland Carter’s “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” “In Bright Mansions Above,” and “Precious Lord, Take My Hand,” along with a variety of classical and gospel selections.
Samuel Carver Davenport, associate professor of Music and Concert Choir director, guides the choir with his seasoned expertise and is celebrating his 48th year as director.
